Fire investigation experience
- From 1999 to 2001 a self-employed fire scene investigator in New Zealand, conducting investigations into structural, vehicle, farm machinery, vegetation and crop fire claims
- Conducted investigations for most New Zealand insurance companies, as well as Barristers and Solicitors
- Obtained evidence and prepared reports to assist Claims Managers with fire-related insurance claims
- Extensive experience preparing documents and giving evidence as an Expert Witness for Civil, Criminal & Coroners Courts
- January 2006 to the present Phil has conducted Forensic Fire Scene Investigations involving structures, motor vehicles, crops & vegetation throughout Victoria, NSW, & ACT, on behalf of Australian insurers
- Reviewed reports and other evidence relating to fire cause and origin matters, and provided written opinions to insurers and their legal representatives as to the accuracy of evidence
